This book is more like reading a comic book. What makes it different from the rest is that it is a Comic Book you might have read as a child. It is more of short lines and illustrations depicting India as a whole from the perspective of a common man, what he sees India as, and what he has to say.
About politics, the economic crisis, and what it feels like to live in India. This book might be a quick read, yet it Tells a lot about how India, as a whole. I mean, now nothing has changed a bit. It’s well put together, and a Book for everyone to read; something off-topic, and yet relatable at the same time.
By that, I mean that politics is not everyone’s cup of tea, so reading it once in a while is not bad.
At least you find yourself knowing about what’s happening around you, then just being absent-minded. This book is quirky, hilarious, and spot-on; with whatever subject it has to tell about, in a sarcastic way. To Be frank, I do not know much about R. K. Laxman.
If I were an avid reader; during my childhood days, then, this would be one of the books; that would be Close to me, and one of my favourites. When I researched about R. K. Laxman sir. I got to know, he is India’s Greatest cartoonist, ever had. I was happy to know that, he happened to write stories.
