Kalki 2898 AD: Visionary or Overhyped? Movie Review.

Storyline, and the HYPE.

As someone, who rarely watches dystopian films, I felt the storyline could’ve been better. The only place the storyline felt more relatable, and connected was when it was referring to the history from the past, and how the present one scenario. That’s interconnected.

The only reason, I could relate myself, is with the history more, as I’ve done acting on it myself, and there’s a deeper understanding, of how people see the historical events. That is believed to be true.

The HYPE for this movie lasted less than anticipated. The trailer was dam good, for this movie, though the movie didn’t meet the expectations. At least for me.

Visuals, and dialogues.

To any great movie, there must be something that makes you hook or makes you emotionally invested. In the case of this movie. The visuals are the only saving grace for this movie.

Dialogue, and the way it should’ve been showcased. It felt a bit downhill IMO. As in the conversations happening back, and forth between actors. You really couldn’t get it. What’s the storyline all about, and what’s been said? It feels more gibberish.

They’re certain movies, that have done this so well, that you know, what’s being said, and what’s happening. If you take movies like HP, What If, and movies, that are not so set in the current times. They all make you a part of it, somehow.

The lingo used in this movie feels haywire. Imo.

Ensemble cast, and overall thoughts.

The visuals of this movie feel so out of the box. As you know, it has taken time, to set in the world, that is meant to be showcased.

The best thing, the movie has to offer, is its Ensemble cast. All of them had done great work. It’s a mix of known actors and those, you’re seeing for the first time.

I feel, that seeing Big B, in a larger-than-life character is something, I never thought, would make him look so different, and big. I’m still not a fan of the villain.

I feel the first half of the movie felt haywire. Imo. In the second half only, I felt the movie did better, overall.
